The web page is partially compliant with the annex to the act from 4th of April 2019 about the availability of digital web pages and mobile applications from public entities due to the non-compliance or exemptions listed below.

  • Some elements of the page do not meet the minimum contrast requirements.;
  • Some elements of the page do not display correctly on mobile devices.;
  • Some elements of the page are not digitally accessible.
  • Some elements that open a link in a new window/tab do not provide a notification about it.;
  • The website may contain so-called short links (without information about their purpose in the name).
  • The website has links distinguished only by color.
  • The website does not have a proper heading structure for articles.

Content not covered by regulations:

  • Documents published before September 23, 2018, are not digitally accessible. If you need any of them in an accessible format, please contact us and specify which document you need;
  • The videos which were published before the Digital Accessibility Act came into effect;
  • Maps are exempt from the requirement to ensure accessibility.

Everyone has the right to request the digital accessibility of a website, mobile application, or any of its elements. One can also request to access information through an alternative means, such as reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a video without audio description, etc.

When submitting such a request, please provide:

  • A description of the problem and the most convenient solution for you.

The public entity should fulfill the request immediately, and no later than 7 days from the day the request was made. If meeting this deadline is not possible, the public entity must promptly inform the requester when the request can be fulfilled, with the deadline not exceeding 2 months from the day the request was made. If ensuring digital accessibility is not possible, the public entity may offer an alternative means of accessing the information.

Handling of requests and complaints related to accessibility

If the public entity refuses to fulfill the request for digital accessibility or an alternative means of accessing information, the requester may file a complaint regarding the provision of digital accessibility for the website, mobile application, or any element of the website or mobile application.

Additional information

Architectural accessibility

Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science, Mathematics Building, ul. Koszykowa 75, 00-662 Warszawa

The gate and wicket in the Main Area fence do not pose a barrier for people with disabilities accessing the Main Campus of the Warsaw University of Technology. Parking spaces are available near Gate II of the Main Building and in the underground garage of the Mathematics Building.
People with disabilities will have no difficulty accessing the Mathematics Building.
A person with a mobility impairment using a wheelchair will not be able to access the rooms located on the first floor of the separated part of the building (the so-called ‘leg’), where the student research club rooms and guest rooms are located.
The building is also equipped with an evacuation chair adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
A person with a visual impairment can use Braille plaques placed on the doors of all rooms.
A person with a visual impairment will encounter the following difficulties:
• Stair landings are not finished with a contrasting shade, color, or texture, at least in a 30 cm strip from the edge marking the start and end of the staircase.
• There is no marking on the first and last step of the staircase.
• External railings do not extend 30 cm beyond the beginning and end of the stairs.
• Due to its design, the building has large glass surfaces and has not yet been equipped with warning markings.
The Mathematics Building is equipped with an elevator adapted for people with disabilities, featuring call buttons with Braille embossing and a voice system. The hygiene and sanitary rooms, fully accessible for people with disabilities, are located on every floor of the building.
The dimensions of vestibules and foyer do not pose a barrier for people with disabilities.

 

Communication and informational accessibility

In the dean’s office (room 32) and the secretariat (room 17), mobile induction loops are available for people with hearing impairments. Lecture hall 107 is equipped with an induction loop.

There is no possibility to use the services of a Polish Sign Language (PJM) interpreter.
